The North Branch Nature Center is a nonprofit dedicated to connecting people of all ages to the natural world, by offering natural history programs to residents of and visitors to Central Vermont. This position is part of the Vermont Housing & Conservation Board AmeriCorps, which places AmeriCorps members in sponsoring non-profit affordable housing and land conservation organizations around the state. Educator
Desired Qualifications Start and End Dates: Position begins September 22, 2009 and ends August 27, 2010. Requires 1,700 hours for an average of 35.5 hours per week for 11 months. Benefits: AmeriCorps members will receive a living allowance of $13, 702 (pre-tax), and an education award of $4,725 (pre-tax) upon successful completion of service. Other benefits include health insurance, federal school loan forbearance, and various training opportunities.
