Previous Crossing Sites

Washington County

Middlesex

The first mile of the Brook Road, running uphill from where the Brook Road joins the paved road on the way out to 89.

The part of Middlesex Center Road starting where the Brook Road and Middlesex Center Road join (near the big culvert), up the hill a few hundred yards to East Hill Road.

Molly Supple Hill Road for the first mile uphill from East Hill Road/Center Rd. 9.

Some may also be found on the paved road from Molly Supple Hill to Rumney School or even as far as Shady Rill or Route 12 (less likely the closer you get to Rt. 12).

The site begins at the intersection of Buldoc Road and East Hill Road and ends about 500 yards down East Hill Road towards

I-89 exit #9, right onto Center Road, go about 2.5 miles to Zdon Road on left. Site is just over initial uphill and goes for approx. 150 yards.

Calais

Approximately 500-1000 feet up Long Meadow Road from the County Road in Calais.

East Montpelier

From County Rd. turn onto Center Rd. Drive approx. 1.1 miles.

Cabot

North on 215 from Route 2. In lower Cabot, turn left onto West Hill Pond Rd. In 3 miles, arrive at full intersection. At this intersection and continuing straight, amphibinas cross beween the pond on the left and the woods on the right.

Marshfield

Lanesboro Rd. near Ethan Allen Corner

Northfield

Northfield Rd. off Warren Mtn. Rd.

Turn off 12 A, near the Roxbury / Northfield line. About 2 ½ miles up Rabbit Hallow Rd. you will find hard woods on the Left and a pond on the Right.

Orleans County

Hardwick/Greensboro/Craftsbury

Go through Hardwick Village, at Perry’s Texaco turn right on route 14, Lake Eligo and other ponds on right; wetlands/streams/waterfalls on left. There should be activity from about Judevine Waterfall up to South Cfaftsbury Road (except where the camps are on Lake Eligo).

Addison County

Salisbury

(from the South) Left off Rt. 7 onto W. Salisbury Rd. Left onto Morgan Rd.

New Haven

North St. off Route 17.

Franklin County

Fairfield

I-89, exit 19 (St. Albans). Right turn onto 104 north. Right onto 36 East. Left turn onto Hill Rd.

St. Albans

On St. Albans Bay, near the park, off Lake Rd./Highway 36, there is a swampy area on one side of the road.

Near the intersection of Samson Rd. and MaQuam Rd., there is an 50-100ft area where they cross

Chittenden County

Shelburne

Near Shelburne Pond, the stretch of Pond Rd. (the one in Shelburne, not Hinesburg) which has no homes on it (and may currently be closed).

Hinesburg

When traveling north on Rt. 116 from Hinesburg, S. Brownell Rd. cuts to the right just as the road bears a hard left.

Potential Site: From Hinesburg, north on Richmond Rd, right onto Magee Hill Rd., and then right onto Sherman Hollow Rd.

Potential Site: Enos Rd. off Richman Rd. in Hinesburg

Huntington

Near the Richmond-Huntington Border, along Gillet Pond off Gillette Pond Rd. / Wes White Hill
